Choosing to be Uncomfortable

In order to have this incredible adventure we had to choose, in advance, to be OK with being uncomfortable.

Choosing to be uncomfortable while camping in the rain (that came later)

I wrote a post about this back in April. We've been learning this lesson for even longer. Now we're ready to put that training to the test. In just about one week we will launch on a months long trip across the U.S. with two adults, three children, a fluffy 10lb dog and a truck + 30' travel trailer. Are we insane?

No. We are not doing the same thing expecting different results. We are doing a very different thing and we don't really know what results to expect. As Josh observed the other day: "We don't even know who we will be on the other side of this."

That is exciting and a little scary. But change usually is.

So here's to changed scenery, changed habits, and probably changed minds and hearts.
