We stayed a week in Gila Bend, AZ. There are incredible things to do and see in an hour's drive in all directions.
Or so we have been told. We didn't drive to see any of them.
We have been enjoying rest after several weeks of heavy travel. We sat in the sun, read books, ate lunch outdoors, found a decent burger place with a local claim to fame that I can't remember and a good pizza place whose claim to fame is the Prince Harry once ate there. I hope he got the pizza - it was delicious.
The kids swam in the pool, played Minecraft, and then drew pictures of what they had built or wanted to build in Minecraft.
We took bike rides (Teddy is liking them more and more), we played chess and other games in the common room, and improved on our pickle ball game.
We were present. And we rested. And it was good.
